A day after shipping Eli Apple to the Saints, the Giants continued their defensive firesale by trading defensive tackle Damon “Snacks” Harrison to the Lions, NFL Media reported.

According to the report, New York will receive a fifth-round pick in 2019.
Harrison, 29, went undrafted in 2012, was named first-team All-Pro in 2016 and has a reputation as one of the best run-stuffing lineman in the league.
The move is representative of how these two teams are trending in 2019. The Giants are 1-6 and destined for another top-five pick in the draft, while the Lions have won back-to-back games to move to 3-3 and creep into the conversation atop a disappointing NFC North.
The NFL trade deadline is at 4 p.m. ET Tuesday, Oct. 30.
