The Jets bolstered their offensive line Sunday, agreeing to acquire left guard Kelechi Osemele from the Raiders, according to ESPN.
According to the report, the Jets will send a fifth-round pick in the upcoming NFL draft to Oakland in exchange for the Raiders’ sixth-round pick.
Osemele, 29, is a two-time Pro Bowl selection (2016-17) who could provide an upgrade on New York’s offensive line. The Jets ranked 29th in the NFL last season in yard per rush (4.0). Osemele would replace James Carpenter, a pending free agent.
Although he missed five games last season with knee and toe injuries, Osemele recently vowed on social media to have a bounce-back season.
Osemele still has two years under contract.
Meanwhile, the Raiders continue to remake their roster under head coach Jon Gruden. Saturday, Oakland agreed to acquire All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown from the Steelers.
Pending trades do not become official until the new NFL year begins Wednesday.
