There is one team Anthony Davis’ father would never want his son to play for and it isn’t going to make Celtics fans happy.
“Boston…I would never want my son to play for Boston after what they done to Isaiah Thomas…NO LOYALTY,” Anthony Davis Sr. wrote in a text to ESPN. “guy gives his heart and soul and they traded him…anyone can print that.”

Thomas led the Celtics to an Eastern Conference Final appearance two years ago, but had to miss the last couple of games due to a hip injury. He ultimately had to have surgery on said hip and Boston would trade him the next offseason to the Cavaliers as part of a package for Kyrie Irving.
Anthony Davis Sr. went on to say this is not necessarily how his son feels.
“This is just my opinion, not Anthony’s,” he said. “I’ve just seen things over the years with Boston and there’s no loyalty.”
Boston has long been rumored to have interest in acquiring Davis. It’s unclear if this would have any effect on the Celtics’ pursuit of the All-Star center.
Davis will not sign an extension with New Orleans and wants to be traded, agent Rich Paul told ESPN on Monday.
