The Predators were dealt a second blow on the injury front Thursday as defenseman P.K. Subban has been placed on the injured reserve.
Head coach Peter Laviolette told reporters earlier in the day that Subban was day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
The #Preds have placed defenseman P.K. Subban on Injured Reserve and activated defenseman Dan Hamhuis from the IR.

Defenseman Dan Hamhuis was activated from the IR in a corresponding move.
This comes on the heels of the announcement that the Predators are losing winger Viktor Arvidsson for six to eight weeks with a broken thumb.
It is unclear what the exact timetable for Subban’s return is.
The 29-year-old defenseman has two goals and 10 assists in 18 games this season.
The Predators have one of the best scoring back lines in the NHL, but that will take a hit with the absence of Subban.
Nashville currently has the best record in the NHL at 13-4-1.
