The availability of tight end Rob Gronkowski and running back Sony Michel for Sunday’s showdown with Green Bay remains up in the air.
The Patriots will test their injuries ahead of the team’s matchup with the Packers, though there is concern about whether they will be able to play, according to ESPN, which cited sources.
Gronkowski (ankle/back) and Michel (knee) are both listed as questionable after practicing on a limited basis all week, though Gronkowski was held out of Thursday’s workout. Despite struggling with the ailments most of the season, Gronkowski missed just one game when he sat out New England’s Week 7 win over the Bears and logged three catches for 43 yards in his return the following week.
Meanwhile, Michel went down against Chicago and missed the team’s Monday night win over the Bills but the rookie’s MRI showed no structural damage.
Gronkowski has 29 catches for 448 yards and a score this season, while Michel leads the team with 422 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.
The Patriots (6-2) are slated to host the Packers (3-3-1) at 8:20 p.m. ET.
