Demaryius Thomas appears to be on his way out of Denver, thought he could be back in just a few days.
The Texans are finalizing a deal for the Broncos wide receiver in exchange for a mid-round pick, NFL Media reported, citing unidentified sources.
Thomas acknowledged the trade rumors that have involved him in recent weeks and guessed he had a “50-50” chance of being dealt before Tuesday’s 4 p.m. ET trade deadline despite wanting to remain with the Broncos.
Thomas, 30, has spent his entire nine-year career in Denver after being selected by the Broncos in the first round of the 2010 draft. The four-time Pro Bowl player has caught 60 touchdown passes in 125 career games.
He has 36 catches for 402 yards and three touchdowns in eight games this season.
The Broncos (3-5) are slated to host the Texans (5-3) at 4:05 p.m. ET Sunday.
