NFL free agency rumors: Former Broncos QB Paxton Lynch works out with Titans

Paxton Lynch could be moving closer to an NFL return.

The 24-year-old quarterback worked out with the Titans on Tuesday, according to a report from SiriusXM Radio. Lynch has been out of the league since he was cut by the Broncos in early September.

Lynch reportedly met with the Bills shortly after he became a free agent. He has also been linked to the Jaguars and Buccaneers, amongst others.

Lynch struggled this preseason and was demoted to third string on the Broncos depth chart before he was released. He was booed off the field after passing for just 24 yards and throwing an interception against the Vikings in mid-August.

The Broncos selected Lynch out of Memphis in the first round of the 2016 draft. He appeared in five regular season games over two seasons with Denver.

Titans starter Marcus Mariota dealt with an elbow injury earlier this season. They also have veteran quarterback Blaine Gabbert on their roster.
