DeVante Parker's agent blasts Dolphins coach Adam Gase, calls him incompetent

DeVante Parker’s agent is not happy with Dolphins head coach Adam Gase.

The 25-year-old wide receiver had missed the Dolphins last two games with a quadriceps injury but was a full participant in practice this week. Parker, however, was inactive for Miami’s 32-21 loss to the Lions on Sunday.

Parker’s agent, Jimmy Gould, blasted the Dolphins decision not to play Parker in a statement to the Palm Beach Post.

Gould’s statement read:

“Coach Gase is not telling the truth and his decision was an example of poor management and cost the team the best opportunity to win. He continues attacking the health of my client and that is not acceptable. Parker is not only healthy but wants to help the team win and the only real question that should be asked is how does coach Gase justify his own incompetence? The team averaged only 6.1 yards per catch. They need Parker active. He is completely healthy and was in full participation all week and in warmups this morning. Something smells in Miami.”

Parker has been limited to two games this season because of a broken finger and the quadriceps injury. He has caught two passes for 40 yards on three targets.

The Dolphins originally selected Parker out of Louisville with the 14th pick in the 2015 draft. He has pulled in eight touchdown passes in 45 career games.

Miami has reportedly been considering dealing Parker ahead of the Oct. 30 trade deadline.
