Deshaun Watson had to take the long way to Jacksonville.
Ahead of the Texans’ road game against the Jaguars, Houston expressed concern over how the air pressure from flying on the team’s plane would affect Watson’s injured lung and ribs.
Instead of risking aggravating the injury, Watson took a 12-hour bus ride to Jacksonville, according to Fox Sports.
Watson, who is dealing with a partially collapsed lung and injured ribs, will face one of the top defenses in the league with his injuries.
It hasn’t been smooth sailing for the second-year quarterback, who has been sacked 25 times and hit 70 times so far this season — the most allowed by any NFL team in this span.
Despite all this, Watson has thrown for 1,798 yards, nine touchdowns and seven interceptions while completing 64.5 percent of his passes.
