Calvin Ridley’s underwent an MRI Monday, which revealed a bone bruise, according to ESPN.
The injury was deemed “clean”, meaning he didn’t tear any ligaments nor break any bones. However, a return date has not been revealed.
The 23-year-old rookie wide receiver suffered the injury Sunday in the second quarter of the Falcons’ 34-29 win over the Buccaneers. He went to the locker room before halftime and did not return.
Ridley walked off the field under his own power, which indicated the injury wasn’t too severe. He hauled in three passes for 47 yards before leaving the game.
The Falcons selected Ridley out of Alabama with the 26th pick in the 2018 draft. He entered the game with 302 receiving yards and a league-high six touchdowns.
The Falcons will face the Giants in Week 7 action Oct. 22 for “Monday Night Football.”
