Rams to re-sign LB Dante Fowler Jr.

The Rams are bringing Dante Fowler Jr. back for an encore.

Los Angeles has agreed to extend the outside linebacker’s deal, the team announced Sunday night.

Terms of the pending contract were not disclosed, but according to NFL Network, it’s a one-year deal.

Fowler, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft by the Jaguars, was traded to the Rams midway through last season. He recorded a total of four sacks in 2018, but really excelled in the postseason, recording 1.5 sacks, four tackles for loss, and three quarterback hits.

Los Angeles lost to New England 13-3 in Super Bowl 53 and has made keeping its fearsome defense together a priority.
