Redskins LT Trent Williams reportedly taken to hospital after game for 'precautionary reasons'

Redskins left tackle Trent Williams was taken to the hospital after Thursday’s game against the Cowboys for precautionary reasons, according to multiple reports.

Williams was transported via ambulance, which he walked onto after the game. He reportedly told a teammate he was okay before leaving AT&T Stadium.

The team has yet to give any more details about the specific injury he sustained, and coach Jay Gruden did not discuss Williams’ status in his postgame media session.

The six-time Pro Bowl player briefly left the matchup with a chest injury, but returned in the third quarter and played the remainder of the game. Williams finished with a participation mark of 98.4 percent of the team’s offensive plays, per Next Gen Stats.

Williams missed the past three weeks with a thumb injury.
